Catalyst host Madison Mills also asked Chris about recessionary trades, and the response was to focus on inelastic goods and services, things that consumers can’t live without in today’s increasingly connected world.
His answer spanned mobile service providers like Verizon VZ, T-Mobile TMUS and AT&T T, as well as electric utility stocks, like Dominion Energy D and the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund XLU. As we learn more about tariffs and their impact on the economy, some of those could be candidates for the Portfolio’s Bullpen.
