We are concluding the EPS Diplomats model reconstitution that we began on Tuesday, March 31, that saw us exit the bulk of the model’s initial basket. That basket returned 5.81% for Q1 2026 compared to the 5.08% loss put in for the S&P 500.
In reconstituting the basket, we’ve carried over the existing position in (LITE) shares and rounded out the carried-over position in CRDO shares to 0.5% of the Portfolio’s assets. We also implemented new 0.5% positions in the shares of BE, EGO, HBM, MU, NGD and RKT shares.
In full, that means the basket will account for 4.0% of Portfolio’s assets, with 0.5% positions each in BE, CRDO, EGO, HBM, LITE, MU, NGD and RKT shares. We are funding Wednesday's trades using proceeds from Tuesday's liquidations.
Rules and Regs of the EPS Diplomats Strategy
As we set sail with this reconstituted model basket, let’s review some of the basics when it comes to the EPS Diplomats strategy:
The strategy comprises a basket of companies with a track record of double-digit EPS growth that are expected to deliver the fastest EPS growth over the coming quarters based on current consensus EPS figures for 2026 and 2027. These are the top-eight companies screened across the top-1,000 listed public companies by market cap.
Each constituent of the model starts the quarter at 0.5% of the Portfolio’s assets, leading the model to initially represent 4.0% of those assets. We will not be adding to the basket during the quarter.
There are no ratings or price targets for the model’s constituents, and we will hold the basket until the next reconstitution period on June 30 to July 1.
The model’s constituents are included in the Portfolio Holdings page, and you can recognize them because they lack a price target and rating.
Word on Expected Trade Execution Prices
We expect to execute these trades as the market opens for trading later on Wednesday morning. Because we are sharing the trades well ahead of that to allow members to position themselves accordingly, potential trade execution prices could be different than those listed above.
The Portfolio will still execute the trades as part of the EPS Diplomats model strategy, and we will post the executed prices in the comment section below once the trades have been booked.
Subscribers can also see the trade's executed price here in the Portfolio’s Holdings page. (You’ll want to click on the “+” next to the corresponding stock symbol.)
