A New Future for TheStreet Pro Starts Now

TheStreet Pro is now part of TipRanks

Hello members of TheStreet Pro!

Last fall, I teased that TheStreet Pro had been purchased by TipRanks. We’re still in close cahoots with our friends at TheStreet, but Pro is now an independent company, wholly owned by TipRanks.

This is very good news. I’ve spent the last four months working with the TipRanks team, and I find them to be incredibly professional and hardworking, and they only want Pro to be successful. They understand membership businesses like ours.

The team is largely unchanged. On the back end, all of the people who keep the lights on and publish articles are here to support our members and contributors.

The contributor team is largely unchanged, too. We slimmed down a few people who either weren’t publishing frequently or who had low readership. Down the road, I hope to add new names.

What you’ll notice.

Let’s start with the big one. OpenWeb is gone.

This speaks to the quality of the work that the TipRanks team does. I mentioned that we had trouble with OpenWeb, so they built a replacement. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s darn good. And since TipRanks owns the tech, they’ll fix it when something breaks and improve it when we ask. I’ve already given them a list of things that were overlooked in the initial launch and additional features we want to add.

I spent 2 years looking for an OpenWeb replacement, and these guys built one in less than two months. Woohoo!

You’ll also notice lots of small things. Like a different, wider font, or image descriptions. Some of these things, we’ll be fixing; others will, hopefully, be improvements that you enjoy.

I’m keeping a list of what needs changing and will share it with the dev team every day. So, just let me know what’s broken and we’ll get to it!

TipRanks also owns TheFly. Down the road, you can expect us to take advantage of our new relationships to offer you more value.
